Operations Specialist (Account Opening Support)
- Review account opening documentation of different types of accounts and ensure all accounts have satisfied the firm's and regulatory requirements before opening
- Check on FATCA, CRS, PI status in addition to AML status
- Perform data capture and validation in system and support the account maintenance process
- Ensure all account profiles together with the related documentary proof are properly filed
- Follow up on outstanding documentation and information to meet the firm's KYC/AML guidelines
- Ensure accurate and timely freezing / closing of accounts when there are remaining outstanding documents
- Perform periodic AML, CRS, FATCA, PI, dormant reviews to clean up data and documentation by coordinating with business units
- Liaise with compliance, legal, business units, risk management, external clients, brokers, and service providers
- Perform systems enhancements and UAT when required
- Handle ad hoc tasks when required
Knowledge
- 1 year of related working experience in financial institutions
Skills and Abilities
- Fluent in spoken and written English and Mandarin
- Resourceful, attention to details and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Must be detail-oriented and able to work under pressure
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree or above, with a concentration in Accounting, Finance, Business or Economics preferred
