Senior Partnership Manager, Hong Kong

Role Overview
Art Basel is seeking a Senior Partnership Manager based in Hong Kong, who will be an integral member of our Partnership Team. This position reports to the Head of Partnership Management and is responsible for driving long-term partner value, ensuring operational excellence, and contributing to sustainable growth. The role combines strategic ownership, cross-functional leadership, and disciplined execution, aligning partners' ambitions with Art Basel’s global vision. It also plays a key role in supporting the shift towards more centralized, aligned ways of working across the Partnerships function.
Your Responsibilities
Strategic Partner Ownership
- Own and lead a portfolio of 3-5 key strategic partners as a 365 Strategic Partner Lead, acting as the primary senior point of contact.
- Build long-term relationships and a deep understanding of partner objectives, structure, and evolution, identifying growth opportunities and risks.
- Co-develop partnership strategies aligned with Art Basel’s positioning and translate partner strategy into actionable plans across fairs and channels.
- Drive partner satisfaction, retention, and long-term value creation.
- Own the management of local and regional partners connected to the Art Basel Hong Kong show, including contract renewals.
- Work in partnership with other Senior Partnership Leads across Art Basel’s shows to create consistency in partner management, standards, processes, and ways of working across the portfolio.
Operational Delivery & Project Management
- Accountable for the successful operational delivery of all partnership commitments for Art Basel Hong Kong, ensuring an exceptional partner experience, effective cross-functional execution, and continuous operational improvement.
- Own and oversee end-to-end delivery, from planning through on-site execution and post-event review of the Hong Kong show across all partners.
- Drive seamless planning and execution across partner initiatives.
- Collaborate with regional and global colleagues to ensure seamless delivery of your partners benefits across all shows, including supporting or delegating other fairs on-site execution where required.
- Ensure consistent, high-quality delivery across all fairs and partner touchpoints.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Act as a central coordination point across internal teams (Marketing, PR, Digital, VIP, Operations, Galleries, Sales, Commercial Strategy).
- Drive alignment across stakeholders on priorities, timelines, and deliverables.
- Act as a key liaison for a selected department, building strong working foundations and improving collaboration, clarity, and efficiency.
- Partner with other Senior Leads and relevant functional stakeholders to establish consistent approaches, standards, and best practices across shows and regions.
- Strengthen internal understanding of partner strategies and benefits.
Partner Experience & Value Creation
- Lead post-show reporting and partner debriefs.
- Elevate the partner experience beyond benefits delivery, focusing on value creation and brand alignment.
- Ensure partners are meaningfully integrated into the Art Basel ecosystem (on-site, digital, content, VIP).
- Foster ongoing, strategic dialogue with partners beyond fairs.
Team Performance and Process centralisation
- Manage and develop one team member, fostering ownership and accountability.
- Act as a role model, contributing to a positive, collaborative, and solutions-oriented culture.
- Share knowledge, identify opportunities for greater alignment, and actively support the adoption of consistent partnership practices across shows and regions.
- Support and drive the evolution of ways of working, embracing change and continuous improvement.
- Contribute to shaping team structure, tools, and best practices.
Your Profile
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, arts administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- 8+ years of experience in partnerships, account management, or sponsorship with an experience within arts, culture, luxury, or a relevant international industry.
- Proven ability to manage strategic partnerships and senior stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM systems (Salesforce a plus), and experience with design software (Adobe, etc.) is advantageous.
- Complete fluency in English and Cantonese is required. Any other language is a plus.
- Strong strategic thinking combined with execution discipline. Client-service approach, proactive, self-motivated, problem-solver, team player, excellent organizational skills.
