Finance Officer (settlement/transaction/bank payments, 30-40k)

We are seeking a capable and detail-oriented Finance Officer to take full ownership of the day-to-day finance function for our client's HK office.

Key Responsibilities

• Settlement & Channel / Partner Calculations
• Manage end-to-end settlement processes, including trade / transaction settlement, client and partner payouts, and related reconciliations.
• Calculate, verify and process revenue shares, fee splits and commissions under channel and partner agreements according to agreed terms.
• Maintain accurate records of channel and partner arrangements; prepare supporting calculations and statements for internal and external parties.
• Investigate and resolve settlement discrepancies or calculation differences in a timely manner.
• Day-to-Day Finance Operations
• Handle accounts payable and receivable, bank payments, receipts and basic cash management for the Hong Kong office.
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, journals and ledgers in accordance with company policy and applicable standards.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparation of management accounts and supporting schedules.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and basic financial planning as required by management.
• Liaise with banks, payment providers and external service providers on operational finance matters.
• Reporting, Compliance & Coordination
• Prepare regular financial reports, settlement summaries and channel performance / revenue-share reports for local management and Singapore head office.
• Ensure compliance with relevant Hong Kong financial, tax and regulatory requirements applicable to the business.
• Coordinate closely with the Singapore finance team on group reporting, policy alignment, intercompany matters and any cross-border finance issues.
• Support internal and external audit requests and provide required documentation in a timely manner.
• Identify process improvements in settlement, calculation and reporting workflows and implement practical enhancements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related discipline preferred.
• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting or settlement roles, ideally within capital management, asset management, financial services or a multi-location environment.
• Hands-on experience with settlement processes and/or revenue-share / commission / partner payout calculations is highly preferred.
• Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail; comfortable working with large volumes of transactional data.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including formulas, pivot tables and basic modelling) and common accounting / finance systems.
• Good understanding of Hong Kong financial and tax compliance basics; willingness to stay up to date with relevant requirements.
• Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks and take ownership of the full local finance function.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues in Singapore and other locations.
• Fluent in English; proficiency in Cantonese and Mandarin is a must.
