Finance Manager | Chinese Single-Family Office

Overview

Our client is a Chinese Single-Family Office recently established a new office in Hong Kong, focusing on long-only investment portfolio across multiple jurisdictions. To facilitate their recent growth, we are looking for a (Senior) Finance Manager to join them. This position will cover both finance accounting operations , as well as investment analysis support .

*We are open to candidates currently in Hong Kong, or relocate suitable talents from Mainland China to Hong Kong.

Key Responsibilities

1) Financial Management & Operations

1. Oversee day-to-day accounting activities, including payments, expense management, bank reconciliations, and financial controls
2. Prepare financial statements, cash flow reports, management reports, and annual audit deliverables in compliance with HKFRS and relevant tax regulations
3. Manage treasury activities, liquidity planning, and cash flow forecasting for the family office
4. Serve as the primary point of contact for banking relationships and take ownership of bank account administration and banking operations

2) Investment Finance & Analysis

1. Partner closely with the investment team to support investment evaluation, portfolio monitoring, and performance analysis
2. Conduct financial analysis and data-driven assessments to support investment initiatives
3. Prepare management reports and investment-related insights for internal stakeholders
4. Provide financial support for investment transactions, investment structures, and strategic projects
5. Act as a trusted finance business partner by translating financial data into actionable insights that support investment decision-making

3) Process Improvement & Innovation

1. Identify opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and strengthen internal processes
2. Leverage AI tools and emerging technologies to improve financial analysis, reporting capabilities, and workflow automation

Key Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline (Overseas education exposure is highly preferred)
2. Total 7-10 years of relevant experience in both Big 4 (Audit or Transaction Advisory) and in-house (Family Office, private equity firm, hedge fund, asset management, investment bank, or other buy-side institutions)
3. Hands-on experience in financial accounting, treasury management, cash flow planning, and /or investment-related financial analysis.
4. Demonstrated interest in applying AI technology solutions to financial analysis, reporting, and process automation
5. Flexible mind-set with the ability to think beyond traditional accounting, and evolve into a strategic finance partner in longer-run
6. Proactive, entrepreneurial, and intellectually curious, with a willingness to take ownership in a lean organization
7. Native or fluent Mandarin with strong English communication skills are essential. Cantonese is advantageous but not required.
