POSITION SUMMARY:

To assume material ownership for New Product Development & manage BOM and ECO needed for a program, resulting to material completeness at minimal cost during each build contributing to product’s on-time delivery. Interface with Design Engineering, Program Management, Factory , Materials planning, Purchasing and other functional groups to manage Bill Of Materials, engineering design changes, and help drive & manage new product materials for NPI projects. Also in charge of creating SRFs for shipments from HK for DE related to the project.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Reviews factory schedules and Build Plan to ensure the demand and materials are driving correctly in the ERP system.
• Create Internal Requisition and update Internal Sales Orders (ISO) to drive demand on the factories for Engineering Evaluation, QAV, HALT and safety units.
• Monitor, respond to Material Outlook reports / elevate materials issue at least 2 weeks before the build.
• Controls the purchase of unique and/or EC-controlled materials to support build plan of early prototypes, pilot runs and production ramp up until materials are stable in the design.
• Process purchase requisitions to the NPI and MP buyers. Provide follow-up to ensure correct revisions and delivery dates are maintained to meet build plan; Ensure 100% of needed EC-controlled parts are available for the build.
• Expedite purchase orders and materials.
• Work on proper & timely planner code assignment of parts in Oracle (tag as EC Control on or before parts get in BOM & unassigned once parts are matured).
• Responsible for the processing of the initial Bill of Material in the ERP system.
• Create BOM / ECOs in support of Engineering, ensuring rules and procedures are followed and details well understood.
• Process BOM in sharepoint PCS (product costing system) for product costing in NPI and RFQ.
• Assist on special projects/ tasks to be assigned as needed.

REQUIREMENT

• Diploma in Engineering, Business or related disciplines
• 1-2 years related working experience
• Good spoken and written Chinese & English
• Proficient in MS Excel
• Detail minded, well organized & willing to learn
• Fresh graduates will be considered
• Immediately available is highly preferred
• 1 year fixed-term
