Overview

We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead day-to-day operations and drive the overall performance of a growing business in Hong Kong . This role is accountable for operational excellence, commercial growth, team leadership, and strong customer experience—ensuring the business delivers consistent quality, efficient execution, and profitable results.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership experience in retail/food & beverage or hospitality operations, demonstrated ability to manage P&L, and a track record of building high-performing teams and improving operational processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Business & P&L Ownership

  • Own the site/country performance across revenue, cost, margin, and cash flow.
  • Set operational and commercial targets and track performance against KPIs.

• Operational Leadership

  • Ensure consistent operational standards, including quality, food/service execution, hygiene, and safety.
  • Optimize store/production workflows to improve efficiency and reduce waste.

• Commercial Growth

  • Drive sales initiatives, customer engagement, and brand presence in-market.
  • Support marketing campaigns and local promotional calendars.

• Team Management

  • Lead, coach, and develop managers and frontline teams.
  • Manage recruitment, rostering, training, and performance management.

• Customer Experience & Service Quality

  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through strong service standards and feedback mechanisms.
  • Handle escalations professionally and ensure timely resolution.

• Vendor & Supply Management

  • Oversee relationships with suppliers and logistics partners.
  • Ensure inventory availability, cost control, and effective stock planning.

• Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and internal policies (e.g., food safety, workplace practices).
  • Drive continuous improvement in risk controls and audit readiness.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with regional/head office teams for strategy, reporting, and continuous improvement projects.

Qualifications

• Experience
  • Typically 8–15 years of relevant operations leadership experience, preferably in retail, food & beverage, hospitality, or quick-service environments .
• Leadership
  • Demonstrated success leading multi-shift teams and managing store/operations performance.
• Financial Acumen
  • Proven ability to manage P&L, budgets, cost controls, and performance reporting.
• Operational Excellence
  • Strong background in standard operating procedures, quality control, and process improvement.
• Customer Focus
  • Ability to deliver a premium customer experience and manage service escalations.
• Language
  • Proficiency in English ; Cantonese (and/or Mandarin) is an advantage.
• Working Model
  • Flexibility to work weekends and peak periods as required.
