Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice and support on all aspects of the HKIC’s business and transactions, including structuring, drafting, negotiation of terms, implementation, and monitoring
- Provide legal advice and support on all aspects of the HKIC’s operations and governance, including corporate structure, business execution, policy formulation, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Identify legal issues, clearly explain them to internal stakeholders, and propose appropriate legal and regulatory solutions to meet the HKIC’s needs
- Monitor regulatory developments, conduct in‑depth legal research and analysis, and provide legal updates and training to members of the HKIC
- Work closely with other internal departments, external counsel and professional advisors
- Develop and manage the HKIC’s legal knowledge and experience library, including agreement and document templates
- Perform other assigned duties as required
Requirements
- Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) or equivalent law degree
- Admitted to practise law in Hong Kong
- Minimum 1 year of post‑qualification experience advising on corporate, mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, asset management, finance or regulatory matters
- Work experience in reputable organisations is a plus
- Good understanding of the Basic Law of the HKSAR
- Committed to contributing to the future development of Hong Kong and achieving the HKIC’s objectives
- Strong sense of integrity and professional ethics
- Solid experience in transactional and advisory legal work and project management
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Proven negotiation and communication abilities
- Strong team player
- Highly motivated with ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
- Good command of written and spoken Chinese and English
- Willing to work outside normal office hours as and when required
