UX Researcher - Leading Financial Institution
Our client, a leading global financial institution, is seeking a UX Researcher / Product Researcher to join its global design team and support the development of customer-focused digital experiences.
The role will focus on research and customer insights across the digital product lifecycle, helping teams understand customer needs, validate concepts, and make informed product and design decisions.
The successful candidate will work closely with Design, Product, Analytics, and business stakeholders to plan and deliver research, translate findings into actionable insights, and influence the development of digital experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end UX research from planning and execution to analysis and recommendations.
- Conduct user interviews, usability testing, surveys, and qualitative/quantitative research.
- Translate customer feedback, behavioural data, and market insights into actionable recommendations.
- Partner with Design, Product, Analytics, and business teams throughout the product lifecycle.
- Present research findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Coach colleagues on research and usability testing best practices.
- Manage research vendors and platforms when required.
- Support research governance, privacy, and ethical standards.
- Explore AI/ML, automation, and ResearchOps to enhance research capabilities.
Qualifications
- 2–5+ years of experience in UX Research, User Research, Product Research, or Design Research.
- Strong experience in qualitative & quantitative research and usability testing .
- Hands-on experience with user interviews, surveys, and customer research.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn research findings into clear business and design recommendations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Familiarity with UserTesting, Dovetail, Miro, Figma , or similar tools.
- Understanding of digital customer behaviour, customer journeys, and accessibility.
- Experience in research governance, ResearchOps, or regulated environments is an advantage.
- Exposure to AI/ML or research automation is a plus.
- English required; Cantonese or Mandarin is an advantage.
