Business Analyst (Transformation & Strategy) - Leading Investment Bank
Our client is a leading investment bank renowned for driving large-scale digital transformation, operational excellence, and robust regulatory governance across complex, highly regulated environments. As part of an ambitious modernization journey, they are scaling their business transformation and first-line control capabilities to streamline operations, enhance risk frameworks, and strengthen executive decision-making across global operations.
We are seeking a strategic, highly analytical Business Analyst (Transformation & Strategy) to lead high-impact operational and process enhancement initiatives. Sitting within a critical first-line control function, you will drive the business transformation agenda, strengthen governance frameworks, and elevate senior management visibility into operational performance. The ideal candidate will bridge business, control functions, and technology partners to turn complex topics into clear, decision-oriented frameworks and executive presentations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of executive-ready presentations and strategic narratives for key transformation initiatives, structuring complex problem statements into actionable solution frameworks.
- Translate complex regulatory, operational, and data topics into clear, concise, decision-oriented messaging and senior management updates.
- Lead process enhancement and remediation initiatives, establishing robust tracking mechanisms to drive action plans through to successful closure.
- Manage end-to-end project governance, including structured status reporting, decision tracking, escalation management, and key performance metrics.
- Collaborate closely with regional stakeholders across international hubs to align on business processes, project execution, and strategic co-ordination.
Qualifications and Education:
- 5 - 7 years of relevant working experience within the financial services industry in project management, or business transformation. Background in management consulting (Big 4) would be an advantage.
- Experience in Compliance, AML/KYC, or First-Line Control functions within banking.
- Strong presentation skills with a proven track record of translating complex data into clear business insights and executive narratives.
- Solid project management capabilities, with demonstrated ability to manage execution across multiple urgent workstreams in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, and MS Word - basic knowledge of VBA is a plus.
- Strong stakeholder management skills across business, risk/2LD, change management, and technology teams.
