JOB TITLE: Style Editor

JOB SUMMARY
The Style Editor will be part of the Prestige team, with experience covering luxury fashion, style, and trends in Hong Kong, working alongside editors across various pillars of the magazine and website. Reporting to the Editor-in-Chief (Prestige), the candidate will contribute to the monthly magazine; write, upload, and publish daily digital content; and work towards digital KPIs while delivering high-quality, visually compelling stories for Prestige readers. The Style Editor will also liaise with relevant PR contacts, conduct interviews and attend press events when necessary. In addition, the role will be responsible for preparing moodboards and leading styling for Prestige photo and video shoots.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Pitch and develop fashion, beauty and style feature ideas, news stories and editorial projects in collaboration with the editorial team.
- Write, edit and publish high-quality fashion, beauty and lifestyle content for Prestige print and digital platforms.
- Research topics thoroughly and conduct professional interviews for profiles, features and news stories.
- Lead or support styling for Prestige photo and video shoots, including the preparation of moodboards and styling guidelines where required.
- Support the Editor-in-Chief on editorial initiatives, special projects and advertorial content.
- Ensure all copy is accurate, engaging, informative, on-brand and relevant to Prestige's audience.
- Edit, revise and proofread articles, page layouts and supporting copy ahead of publication and print deadlines.
- Work closely with relevant teams to oversee the visual presentation of lifestyle stories, including layout, artwork, design, photography and overall content direction.
- Manage workload effectively, meet deadlines consistently and submit work to the required production schedule.
- Maintain a strong understanding of and adhere to the Prestige Style Guide.
- Comply with company policies, media law, corporate compliance requirements and industry ethical standards.
- Represent Prestige professionally at brand, industry, community and charity events, building relationships with PR contacts, brand partners and relevant stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Media and Communications, Journalism, Fashion, or a related discipline.
- At least three years' experience in journalism, editorial writing and editing.
- Demonstrated experience in fashion and/or lifestyle styling, including styling for editorial photo and video shoots.
- Strong knowledge of the luxury sector, with an up-to-date understanding of international fashion, beauty, lifestyle and cultural trends.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills. Proficiency in Chinese, including Cantonese and/or Mandarin, is an advantage.
- Mature, highly organised and detail-oriented, with strong integrity, responsibility and professional judgement.
- Able to manage multiple deadlines, work independently and collaborate effectively within a fast-paced editorial team.
