What this job involves

• Communicate with users and facility management team of the University to understand their requirements and expectations on technical issue of maintenance works and project progress
• Manage and monitor work progress and improvement works as well as ensure the reliability of building services systems
• Review the existing maintenance standards and policies, monitor contractors’ workmanship and work progress
• Supervise and mentor technical staff, assign tasks, provide feedback and ensure quality standards are met
• Ensure services are delivered in compliance with statutory requirements / regulations, Ordinance and achieve the KPI targets
• Lead technical team and manage 3rd party vendors to perform facility services and preventive maintenance or corrective maintenance etc.
• Support FM team to prepare regular and ad hoc reports to the Client
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for technical issues
• Prepare and draft documentations for request of tender and quotation for technical issue

Required Skills and Experience

• Degree in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field
• Membership in relevant professional bodies (e.g. HKIE, CIBSE) is highly preferred
• Minimum 5 years of experience in facility management or building services maintenance
• Proven experience in managing and supervising technical team
• Strong knowledge of building services systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems
• Understanding of relevant statutory requirements, regulations, and ordinances related to building services and maintenance
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Fluent in English and Chinese
• Ability to work flexible hours when required
• Willingness to respond to emergency situations outside of regular working hours
