Executive Officer II in the Department of Public and International Affairs [Ref.: R/282/26]
Duties
- Support departmental research-related and knowledge transfer matters;
- Organise departmental conferences, workshops, seminars, including budgeting, promotion, and logistics;
- Provide secretarial support for committees and working groups;
- Coordinate the departmental Research Assessment Exercise;
- Assist in recruitment and short-term visitors’ logistics; and
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree or above with at least 2 years post-qualification experience in the higher education sector/institutions;
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua);
- Strong interpersonal, communication, analytical, and organisational skills;
- Ability to multitask, produce quality work independently, and work under pressure and tight timelines; and
- Capability of working efficiently in a team-based environment and collaboratively in a dynamic and diverse work environment are required.
- Possession of a mature and pleasant personality and being self-motivated and attentive to details; and
- Knowledge of and practical experience in a research environment and committee servicing are preferred.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written test.
Salary and Conditions of Service
Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
