Clerical Officer I/II in the Department of Biomedical Sciences [Ref. R/267/26]
Duties
- Provide administrative support to the Department’s education programmes, such as postgraduate programmes (including student admission and records, class scheduling, examination, programme development, marketing/promotion, and related student matters);
- Provide clerical and logistics support to the Department including office purchase, office spacing, and departmental inventory, organising events, staff development activities; general IT support; and daily office operation);
- Handle research supporting staff recruitment and re-appointment matters; and
- Perform any other assigned or ad hoc duties.
Requirements
- 5 passes in HKCEE/HKDSEE including English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics with at least 2 years’ relevant working experience;
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua) and computer proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Chinese word-processing; and
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment, good interpersonal skills and a service-oriented disposition, self-motivated and attention to details are required.
- Experience in programme/course administration in postgraduate education is preferable.
Candidates with more than 6 years’ working experience may be considered for appointment as Clerical OfficerI.
Salary and Conditions of Service
Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
