Senior Research Assistant/Research Assistant (Full-time/Part-time) in the Department of Social and Behavioural Sciences (Appointment up to 15 months) [Ref. T/1 63/26]

Digitally Supported Team-Based Learning in Light-Touch GenAI to Enhance Team-Based Learning in Social Work Education

Duties

• Assist the PI in implementing and evaluating the Team-Based Learning redesign of Light Touch GenAI to Enhance Team-Based Learning in Social Work Education;
• Develop Canvas modules, RAP question banks, 4S case materials, rubrics, peer-evaluation tools, and GenAI guidance;
• Set up and manage Canvas quizzes, assignments, surveys, rubrics, and simultaneous reporting workflows;
• Collect, organise, and analyse quantitative and qualitative evaluation data;
• Assist in preparing project reports, implementation guides, dissemination materials, conference abstracts, and journal manuscripts;
• Liaise with course staff, students, support units, and other stakeholders; and
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree or above in Social Work/Education/Educational Technology/Social Sciences/Psychology/Sociology, or a related discipline;
• Good writing skills in English and Chinese, with strong computer literacy; and
• Responsible, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently and collaboratively are required.
• Experience in teaching and learning research, course evaluation, digital learning, or social work/professional education; and
• Good quantitative and/or qualitative research skills; knowledge of SPSS, R, Stata, NVivo, Excel, or equivalent tools are preferred.
• Familiarity with Canvas, e-learning tools, TBL, case-based learning, and responsible GenAI use will be an advantage.

Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in related disciplines plus 3 years’ post-qualification experience or a Master’s degree plus 1 year’s post-qualification experience may be considered for appointment as Senior Research Assistant.

Salary offered will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. For full-time appointment, fringe benefits include leave, medical and dental consultations at the campus clinic.
