Technician

Major Duties :

To provide technical support to teaching activities as well as special projects and events;

To assist in laboratory equipment installation / maintenance and training session preparation;

To assist lecturers during laboratory / practical classes;

To assist in the procurement and inventory control of relevant stores and equipment; and

To assist in the implementation of safety measures in laboratories.

Requirements :

A recognised diploma or higher certificate in the areas of Pharmaceutical Technology / Science, Chinese Medicines, Microbiology, Chemistry, or relevant disciplines;

At least 2 years’ relevant work experience, preferably with experience in laboratory or pharmaceutical manufacturing;

Knowledge of safety and statutory management for endangered ingredients and / or dangerous substances;

Proficiency in both English and Chinese;

Good work initiative and be a good team player; and

Solid experience in both laboratory operation and maintenance of equipment / instrumentation are highly preferred.

Notes :

Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply.

The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours and/or outside campus.
