Clerical Officer I/II in the Department of Biostatistics [Ref. R/259/26]
Duties
- Provide secretarial support to the Head of Department;
- Provide support to academic and research staff;
- Provide clerical support for academic programmes and student-related matters;
- Assist in event coordination and provide coordination support to student activities, events, and ad hoc projects;
- Maintain department websites, social media platforms, and databases;
- Handle general administration of the department; and
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 5 passes in HKCEE/HKDSEE, including English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics;
- At least 6 years of relevant working experience;
- A good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); strong knowledge of IT applications (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Chinese word-processing, and design software) and data management; and
- Good organisational, problem solving and interpersonal skills; self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibility and attentive to detail; an excellent team player; capability to handle multi-tasks and priorities tasks; and the ability to meet tight schedules and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Candidates with less work experience may be considered for appointment as Clerical OfficerII.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written test.
Salary and Conditions of Service
Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
