Buying Manager (Menswear - Contemporary Brands)

As a Buying Manager in our Menswear team, you will take a pivotal role in developing and managing seasonal merchandise mixes and edits that are unparalleled in Asia. You will lead a team of seasoned fashion buyers and collaborate with brand partners to ensure that Lane Crawford remains the top-of-mind destination for the best in men's contemporary fashion.

The Role

• Manage and oversee one of our Menswear contemporary portfolios to achieve sales and profit targets.

• Lead the Open-to-Buy process in collaboration with the Merchandise Planning team.

• Foster and maintain strong partnerships with vendors to secure exclusive offerings, brand collaborations, and optimal gross profit margins (GP%).

• Monitor product sell-through performance and guide the team in making in-season and post-buy adjustments as necessary.

• Source global exclusive newness, innovation, and emerging brands to maintain our leading position as a premier luxury fashion retailer.

• Collaborate with vendors on competitive pricing strategies and cost structures to maximize gross profit potential.

• Work closely with internal stakeholders on Marketing and PR campaigns as well as store events to drive promotional initiatives.

• Deliver compelling storytelling for the fashion category to ensure that store staff are equipped and motivated to sell the products effectively.

The Ideal Candidate

• Bachelor's degree in Business or a Fashion-related discipline.

• Proven experience in retail buying, preferably in a managerial capacity within the contemporary men's fashion categories.

• Relevant experience in liaising with multiple vendors, data analysis, and contract negotiation.

• Numbers-driven with excellent Excel skills, including VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables; experience with Power BI is a plus.

• Strong analytical skills and a willingness to learn and grow.

• Excellent command of written and spoken English and Cantonese.
