Programming Manager
About the Role
The Programming Manager will design and deliver AWE's training, capacity-building, and knowledge programmes, working closely with global and local knowledge partners to bring well-being economy frameworks to Hong Kong in a GBA context, leveraging its unique positioning within the Belt Road Initiative (BRI). Over time, this role has the potential to evolve into leading AWE's advisory service offering.
Internal note: This role will work very closely with Octave resource (currently Yuxin) and Octave China Marketing team to ensure strong linkage with the Octave Institute efforts. Yuxin will contribute to AWE work by strengthening the bridging role between HK-GBA communities with actors in the broadened Chinese markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop training courses and learning programmes on well-being economy, sustainability, and regenerative capital themes, in partnership with international knowledge partners and academic institutions
- Manage relationships with global knowledge partners to localise and adapt curricula and thought leadership for the Hong Kong / regional market
- Build and maintain a strong local network across business, government, academia, and civil society to identify programme participants, partners, and speakers
- Plan and run programme delivery: scheduling, facilitator coordination, participant engagement, and evaluation
- Track programme impact and gather feedback to continuously refine content and delivery
- Contribute to the building of AWE's future advisory service - identifying demand, shaping service concepts, and piloting early advisory engagements
- Support the Executive Director to reinforce AWE presence at relevant conferences, workshops, and partner events
Candidate Profile
- 7+ years of experience in programme / curriculum design, corporate learning, executive education, or a related capacity-building field
- Demonstrated experience designing training with a global knowledge partner (e.g., university, multilateral institution, or international NGO)
- Strong existing local network in Hong Kong across sustainability, finance, or public policy circles
- Interest and/or background in sustainability, well-being economy, ESG, or related fields
- Bilingual business proficiency: fluent English and Cantonese; Putonghua an advantage
- International exposure: experience with global organisations or cross-border teams a strong asset
- Entrepreneurial mindset, with the ambition and capability to help shape a new advisory service line over time
Indicative monthly gross salary range : HKD40-55k
