About the Role Our client, a well-known Japanese sushi restaurant group, is opening its first store in Hong Kong and is looking for a GM Assistant to join the opening team. Working closely with the General Manager, you will support the launch of the new store and the start-up of the Hong Kong business. This is more than a general administrative role — you will be involved in a wide range of opening activities, including project coordination, vendor liaison, administrative procedures, recruitment support, and local operations. After the store opens, you will continue to support the Hong Kong operation, with opportunities to expand your responsibilities as the business grows. Main Responsibilities Support the GM in driving the new store opening project Manage schedules, tasks and progress toward the opening Coordinate with local stakeholders, business partners and vendors Support administrative procedures, applications and documentation Arrange store equipment, supplies and external services Support recruitment and onboarding of opening staff Assist with day-to-day operations of the Hong Kong entity Support store and business operations after opening Requirements Strong communication and coordination skills Well-organized and able to manage multiple tasks and priorities Proactive, flexible and comfortable working in a start-up/opening environment Basic PC skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) English or Cantonese: Business level Japanese: Business communication level is an advantage Preferred Experience Experience in new store openings, new business launches or project coordination Experience in F&B, retail or service industries Experience in operations, administration or coordination roles Experience with Hong Kong administrative procedures or corporate operations is an advantage Experience working with a Japanese company is an advantage Why Join?
