About Our Client

A leading international group in the energy & natural resources industry is seeking an Assistant Finance Manager who possesses Big 4 audit and commercial experience to play a key role in Financial Planning & Analysis.

Job Description

• Prepare and review monthly financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, statutory regulations, and tax reporting requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
• Collaborate with international finance teams, as well as operational stakeholders, to gather, validate, and analyze financial and business data.
• Provide financial insights and performance analysis to support management decision-making and business growth.
• Lead, coach, and develop finance team members across regional offices to enhance capability, efficiency, and overall performance.
• Drive finance transformation initiatives, including process improvements, system enhancements, accounting policy alignment, and governance of standard operating procedures.
• Support financial due diligence, special projects, and ad hoc analyses, with occasional travel required.

The Successful Applicant

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• CPA or equivalent professional qualification.
• At least 8 years of work experience in financial reporting, accounting, or auditing, preferably gained from Big 4 and a multinational business environment.
• Proven experience in financial analysis, reporting, compliance, and special projects such as financial due diligence would be an advantage.
• Strong proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Office applications, with the ability to drive process and system improvements.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively across diverse cultures and geographical locations.
• Commercially minded, proactive, and adaptable team player who is comfortable leveraging AI tools to enhance productivity and is willing to travel when required.
